KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA NEHU, SHILLONG

1) The Vidyalaya was assigned the task of evaluating the answer scripts of the Physics Class XI of the session Ending Examination. The evaluation work started from 19/03/08 and was completed by 21/03/08.

2) From 22/03/08 the Evaluation of the AISSCE-2008 answer scripts of Class XII were scheduled to be executed but Regional Office Guwahati has not received the marking Scheme of the Physics Question Paper from the CBSE H.Q.

One messenger of the K.V. NEHU was sent to CBSE (R.O.) Guwahati on 20/03/08 to receive the marking scheme but he returned barren as authority of Regional Office told that the same will be sent to K.V.NEHU before 22/03/08. As per fixed schedule to the examiner reported the Vidyalaya for evaluation work on 22/03/08 . Principal remained telephonying with CBSE Office to get the marking scheme. The security man responded on telephone that no body was there. There after Regional Officer Shri K. K. Choudhury was contacted and it came to the knowledge of Principal that he was not at his residence. rather he had gone to shillong for official purpose .He was contacted at his mobile on 22/03/08 . Shri Choudhury was contacted with his mobile and he immediately took action to get the print of the 21 pages of the marking scheme available at the Regional Office by Fax . He remained contacting with Regional Office but No body was available on 22/03/08. Principal talked him several times to have the marking scheme on 23/03/08 . Shri choudhury the Deputy Secretary went to Regional Office at 2:00 P.M. of 23/03/08 . He managed to send the copy of the marking scheme to the Vidyalaya by Fax at 3:00 P.M. There after with 04 Examiner, the Principal had intensive discussion regarding the rules to be followed by them and the reply of the question together with other essential aspects of the evaluation process . The 16 examiner are appointed by the CBSE Regional Office Guwahati for evaluation work out of them only 03 turned on 25/03/08. The Principal telephonically requested the Examiners appointed by CBSE to resume there duties at the Nodal Centre K.V. NEHU but there responses were negative Consequently the evolution process started on 24/03/08 with the help of 05 examiners only.
